A successful applicant will be expected to do some of the following:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in transportation systems analysis, modeling, and planning, with emphasis on emerging technologies and methods.
- Develop new curricular offerings that integrate advanced data analytics, AI/ML methods, and simulation tools into transportation engineering education.
- Lead student-centered, project-based learning that incorporates real-world data, industry challenges, and stakeholder perspectives.
- Collaborate with faculty and external partners to design applied research and capstone projects addressing contemporary transportation challenges.
- Foster connections with industry, government, and non-profits to ensure that students gain practical insight into evolving transportation systems and policies.
This is a 12-month position that is anticipated to be a five-year renewal position based on performance and the availability of funding. The position may include research activities in addition to teaching and advising, depending on the candidate's interest. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to interact broadly with faculty and students within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the College of Engineering, Cornell Tech, and the Cornell Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin in the Spring or Summer of 2026.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates must have significant industrial or governmental experience and hold a master's or Ph.D. degree. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
