The Jao Lab in the Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University seeks a full-time Research Technician to work closely with the principal investigator on research projects concerning macromolecular assembly and vertebrate development. The lab focuses on centrosome biology using cultured cells and zebrafish as model systems to understand how the centrosome assembles and how its dysfunction leads to human diseases. Current students who are expected to graduate in May 2025 and are seeking research experience after graduation are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon grant funding availability.
This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
