This 12-month residency (ASHP accredited) is offered with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ is a 650-bed comprehensive urban academic medical center and level I trauma center for Central New Jersey. It serves as the primary teaching facility for the Rutgers School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This residency program provides a broad range of medication use management experiences, including drug information and formulary management, drug shortage management, medication safety, clinical informatics, and quality improvement at both institutional and health-system levels. Residents are provided opportunities to develop skills in critical literature evaluation, evidence-based medicine, and interdisciplinary committee coordination.
Residents will participate in the operation of the Medication-Use Safety and Information Center and RWJBarnabas Health system committees. Each resident receives an appointment as a Post-Doctoral Associate with the School of Pharmacy and has opportunities for teaching, research, medical writing, and professional service involvement.
Job Requirements:?Applicants should possess a Pharm.D. degree and complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Applicants should be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
