The Opportunity:
The Clerkship Coordinator serves as the subject matter expert to develop new processes in the design and operation of clinical experiences in the LIC and clinical electives on the clinical campuses. The Clerkship Coordinator works closely with the Clerkship Directors, ESFCOM administration, clinical faculty and affiliated clinical sites to ensure the development, implementation and delivery of the highest level of clinical education for 3rd year medical students.
The candidate will work independently, under the direction of the Tri-Cities Regional Dean, being responsible to provide direction and guidance to the faculty and staff team to facilitate the achievement ESFCOM curricular goals for the 3rd year medical students. They will be expected to utilize knowledge, expertise and best practices to implement clinical experience plans that support the ESFCOM's mission of providing high quality clinical medical education.
Position is located on the Tri-Cities campus.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
Coordinator: $4,386.85 - $6,031.91 Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1: $4,050.92 - $5,829.37 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor's degree in related field such as business administration, healthcare administration, education, the social, physical or health science fields or other relevant education. Experience may be substituted for education.
Specialty Area: Three (3) years of experience coordinating healthcare clerkships, experiential learning, learning systems or other similar activities in a higher education, health care, clinic, hospital, or other related setting
Demonstrated critical thinking and influencing skills.
Demonstrated skills using scheduling software tools
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products.
Demonstrated experience coordinating and building complex schedules or using scheduling software tools.
Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects independently and with specific deadlines.
Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
