Job Description:
The Senior Business Process and Application Analyst serves as a business analyst that monitors operational and technological information, and modifies existing processes to meet changing requirements. This role is responsible for playing a key part in managing and implementing core operational systems, which includes providing guidance, strategy, analysis and governance. ** NON REMOTE POSITION **
Essential Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between business units and technical solution, in resolving systems support and operational problems related to data, reporting and business processes
Monitor business processes, establish and maintain a record of operational procedures manuals, and analyze monthly reports to measure risk and maintain governance
Develop and modify reports, metrics and dashboards for management and business partners, in addition to providing analytical insight to stakeholders
Participate in recurring meetings with project teams to discuss progress and issues to be resolved
Ensure that all systems and proposals meet, or exceed, regulatory compliance, University policies and standards
Provide support, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions, business requirements and functional specifications, developing testing strategies, conducting acceptance testing and implementing solutions
Evaluates functionalities of Workday that may not be activated today and recommend solutions that meet business need while fitting into overall operating strategies
Be up to date with functionality enhancements delivered through Workday updates and provide ongoing recommendations/system solutions to keep Workday business processes simple and efficient. Research, recommend, and communicate system related releases, upgrades and enhancements
Qualifications/SIS Focus:
Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar area of study. Master's degree a preferred
At least two years of experience supporting or configuring Workday Student. Experience implementing Workday Student a plus
Strong understanding of at least any of the following areas: Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Student Recruiting, Student Admissions, Student Records, or other student business processes, disciplines, or operations
High level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with data, business information and initiatives
Demonstrated history of significant customer deliverables, building rapport, strong leadership, and influencing decisions working in a consultative role with the business and cross-functional teams
Experience with system or module implementation and testing
Requires high attention to detail and excellent analytic skills with a demonstrated understanding of the concepts and issues unique to the management of data
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
