Position Details:
The Opportunity:
As the Energy Program Coordinator, you will coordinate specialized energy programs for the Washington State University (WSU) Energy Program, requiring a combination of technical and programmatic skills. You will provide day-to-day leadership in implementing the state's $110 million Renewable Energy System Incentive Program and co-lead the administration of Washington State's community solar expansion program. In this role, you will develop program processes, procedures, and requirements; conduct stakeholder outreach and manage stakeholder relationships; oversee and manage the solar system proposal review, pre-certification, and certification processes; prioritize tasks for other team members; conduct technical reviews of incentive application data for compliance with program requirements; and complete necessary reporting.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), temporary position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30, 2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $5,705.16 - $7,221.72 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant extension program discipline and two (2) years of experience in providing technical information and/or training on a variety of energy related building science topics. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. A Masters degree in a related energy program field may be substituted for the required education.
Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, infrastructure, technologies, and developments.
Understanding of federal and state regulations governing photovoltaic systems.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree preferred.
Knowledge of legislative processes and/or public policy training.
Knowledge of potential funding sources. Experience in developing program proposals or grant writing.
Experience providing technical and programmatic support to public and private entities.
Familiarity with Washington State photovoltaic industry.
