We are currently seeking a part-time Technical Assistant/Adjunct Instructor in our FAA Approved Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Program. The Technical Assistant/Adjunct Instructor will provide lab assistance for the primary instructor by working with students on lab projects by providing advice and instruction/guidance on how to complete projects for the students. They will maintain the aircraft hangar and equipment as needed. Adjunct role will require facilitation of classroom instruction; teach class in accordance with the FAA approved A&P curriculum, follow all Airmen Certification Standards requirements. The Technical Assistant/Adjunct Instructor will maintain grades for exams and lab projects, and attendance records. They will also maintain professional standards with students which includes confidentiality, effective communication, and courtesy.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Assists full-time faculty in lab training with students
Maintains the training hangar and equipment including aircraft & engines
Takes on teaching roles as needed or available
Assists with program awareness activities as needed
Other related duties as directed by faculty or Director of Airframe and Powerplant Program
Successful candidate must be available to work up to 29 hours per week and will be scheduled Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm. Work hours will be determined based on the program needs and the candidate's availability.

Required Qualifications:
Must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification
Two (2) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or 60 credit hours
Four (4) years of aircraft maintenance industry experience
Teaching experience
Special Instructions to Applicants: Candidates must possess a current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. Verification of this certification will be required prior to hire.
