Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Associate Athletic Director for Academic Services will have responsibility for leading all areas of Academic Services including academic coaching and learning support. Specific oversight of these areas include academic advising, tutor support and leading a robust team of professionals fostering an environment prioritizing University and NCAA academic eligibility standards. Position will provide critical role in creating relationships and collaborating with coaches, key athletics staff, faculty and campus partners in support of achieving academic excellence.
This position is responsible for leading and promoting one of four strategic pillars of Baylor Athletics. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletics Department's Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference, the NCAA and other governing bodies.

What Will You Do
Lead, supervise, and provide vision for the following academic units within Baylor Athletics: Academic Coaching and Learning Support.
Oversee and set goals for the advising, monitoring, and tracking of academic performance to include coordination of support in meeting current needs of student-athletes and ensuring expectations of progress toward a degree are met.
Sets the vision for the communication and programming of academic services and support throughout the department.
Ensures a high level of consistent academic service experience for student-athletes.
Collaborates with sport programs to support student-athlete recruitment, retention and separation.
Communicate regularly with Athletics Compliance, Coaches, and leadership regarding academic progress as well as projected eligibility analysis for prospective and transferring student-athletes.
Serve as an Athletics liaison to key campus partners such as the Office of the Provost, Office of the Registrar, University Admissions and other areas related to the student-athlete academic success.
Responsible for staying current with NCAA and Big12 academic regulations and interpretations as well as NCAA compliance.
Serve as a member of the Student-Athlete Services Division leadership team. Offer strategic insight in high-level decision making as requested while contributing to the stewardship of University resources.
