The University of Iowa is seeking a Product Manager for the university's Mobile App. This role will be responsible for coordinating the continued development, improvement, and governance of the university's all-in-one mobile app for students, faculty, staff, parents/families, and alumni.
This app, launched in fall 2024, is currently in use by students, with future expansion planned eventually by adding faculty, staff, parents/families, and alumni personas. The Product Manager will support the next phase of product evolution by working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance app functionality, expand major systems such as MAUI (the university's student information system), Canvas, housing & dining, transit, maps, SiteNow, and more.
The Product Manager will facilitate stakeholder engagement, support content strategy, and help guide platform governance and decision-making in collaboration with the Division of Student Life, the Office of the Provost, the Office of Strategic Communication, Information Technology Services, and other university units. Success in this role requires a strong emphasis on audience-specific communication, relationship building, and coordination.
This position is eligible for hybrid work and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
