Job DescriptionJob Summary:Saint Paul College seekstwo (2)energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for an unlimited, full-time Financial Aid Officers.The person in this position will assist the Financial Aid Director in administering federal and state financial aid programs including advising students on financial aid programs, application processing, and packaging and awarding of financial aid eligibility. The person in this position will process verification paperwork and make corrections to student ISIRs. The person in this position will manage the student employment program. This position will also correspond with various government agencies and perform other duties as assigned. All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.Job Duties:Manage Student Employment Program.Process Consortium Agreements.Process unique federal verification comment codes.Provide back-up for general Federal Verification processing.Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.Minimum Qualifications:One year of higher education experience (an associate?s degree can supplement for 6 months of experience).Thorough knowledge of Minnesota and Federal financial aid regulations and guidelines.Knowledge of and the ability to use the Federal Student Aid?s relations databases and applications.Knowledge of and ability to follow FERPA regulations.Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Demonstrated inter-cultural competency.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree.Three or more years of prior work experience working in a financial aid office.Knowledge of the Minnesota State System and college policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.Working knowledge of current student information system (Integrated Student Records System), Perceptive Content, Minnesota State System related Web Communications and U.Achieve.Bilingual.Other RequirementsAll resumes must clearly address the Required Qualifications as stated above.
