The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is accepting applications for a part-time Semester Lecturer appointment (part-time position; less than 30 hours per week) to teach undergraduate and/or graduate course(s)in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Appointment will be at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, depending on the applicant's individual qualifications. Duties include but are not limited to curriculum/syllabus design, content and materials development, teaching, and service activities. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to complete activities and provide support for developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students, depending on chosen candidates degree certification.
All courses are taught in person on the Universitys main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. or M.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related area.
Three to five years of teaching and/or industry-related experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related, relevant areas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio States Shared Values.
Appointment as lecturer requires that the individual have, at a minimum, an M.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related area and a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality instruction.
Appointment as a senior lecturer will be considered for applicants with a terminal degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related area, or an M.S. degree in the field and at least five years of teaching experience with documentation of high quality.

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is one of the largest departments in the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University. We are home to nearly 80 faculty and over 35 dedicated staff members. Approximately 1900 undergraduates are pursuing a degree in either Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering through rigorous programs that feature hands-on, project-based learning. Nearly 300 graduate students are seeking a degree in either Mechanical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering.
