Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (McGeorge) invites applications from exceptional candidates for a visiting position for Fall and Spring 2025-2026 academic year. For academic year 2025-2026, we are looking for expertise in Legal Writing and Skills, Constitutional Law, Statutes and Regulations, Torts, Intellectual Property, Property, International Law, Other International courses, and Alternative Dispute Resolution, but all subject matters are welcome. Rank will be determined commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The McGeorge faculty is accomplished and engaging.
The law school is a wonderful community with friendly people, a vibrant intellectual culture, and a beautiful campus. Our programs in international law, advocacy and dispute resolution, and government lawyering are innovative and well known. Our location in Sacramento, the capital of California, offers the opportunity to be part of a robust legal and policy-making community. We also have a public policy and public administration program within the law school. As a relatively small city by California standards, Sacramento also has a close-knit legal community and a number of interesting residential neighborhoods, as well as a burgeoning arts and restaurant scene.

Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent (LL.B).
Three (3) years' experience in the subject area post law school.
Experience teaching at the law school level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Membership in the California Bar.
Qualifications include a record of academic excellence.
A demonstrated commitment to scholarship.
Additional qualifications include the ability to work effectively with diverse students and other constituents.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
