The Questrom School of Business at Boston University is seeking to fill two positions at the associate or full professor level starting in the 2025-26 academic year. Applicants should have an outstanding research record and are expected to make significant contributions to build academic expertise in the areas of business economics and strategy and grow Questrom’s reputation. Successful candidates will either join the Markets, Public Policy, and Law or the Strategy and Innovation Department beginning July 1, 2025. Particular attention will be given to scholars with expertise in areas that advance the understanding of interactions of business and government related to issues in corporate governance, antitrust regulation, innovation policies, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. Scholars in law and economics and economic history/business history with a focus on the role of firms in markets and society are also invited to apply. Preference will be given to those who could help build the newly established and generously endowed Ravi K. Mehrotra Institute of Business, Markets, and Society as Questrom’s signature institute focusing on the role of business in society and its interactions with stakeholders and the government. Preferred candidates will also connect to one or more of the current research strengths of the school and will have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and the potential to build their research into the curriculum.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and currently hold a tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Successful candidates will conduct research, teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, and help to establish the Ravi K. Mehrotra Institute for Business, Markets and Society as a leading research institute. Salary, research support, teaching load and benefits are competitive.
