This 12-month residency (ASHP candidate status) is offered with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ is a 600-bed comprehensive urban academic medical center and level I trauma center for Central New Jersey. It serves as the primary teaching facility for the Rutgers University School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This residency program provides a broad range of medication use management experiences including drug information and formulary management, drug shortage management, medication safety, clinical informatics and quality improvement. Residents are provided opportunities to develop skills in critical literature evaluation, evidence-based medicine, and interdisciplinary committee coordination.
Residents will participate in the operation of the Medication-Use Safety and Information Center and both hospital and RWJBarnabas health-system committees. Opportunities for teaching, research, medical writing, and administrative involvement are available.
Job Requirements:?Applicants should possess a Pharm.D. degree and complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Applicants should be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
