Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Position Overview
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks applications to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching in Partial Differential Equation (PDE). It is expected that this faculty member will be significantly engaged in research, teaching and service in the graduate and undergraduate programs.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: A Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field is required at the time of application. Candidates are expected to observe the general principle of building a culturally diverse intellectual community, in line with OSUs Shared Values (see below).
Desired: The ideal candidate will have an exceptional research record in PDE research area, as well as evidence of strong teaching ability and mentoring.
