Description
Act as rentals agent for The Performing Arts Center seeking, securing, and contracting outside rentals for events of all kinds. Oversee planning or rental and college events; coordinate and communicate between the client and Center Production, Front-of-House, and Box Office departments as needed. Assist with campus rental bookings. In collaboration with the Managing Director and/or General Manager develop and execute a rental marketing plan.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for generating and increasing revenue for the Performing Arts Center in coordination with the Managing Director/General Manager;
Oversee, manage, supervise, and coordinate space usage and State rentals for the PAC;
Maintain PAC building schedule;
Enhanced positive partnerships with individuals, business/campus users of The Center, and local arts organizations in such a way as to maintain and enhance The Center's public image;
Coordinate and work closely with the Director of Conferences and Rentals, with whom this position will directly report to, with a dotted line to the Managing Director/General Manager of the PAC;
Provide campus with mutual assistance when appropriate, whether in the PAC or at other campus locations/events;
Supervise student workers, contractors, and vendors working within or for the Performing Arts Center.
Position will require evening and weekend work.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Preferred: Experience in higher education and/or a professional arts organization and previous event planning and/or rental experience.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong time management skills.
Strong planning, administrative, organizational, and writing skills. Good budget and basic supervisory skills.
Must possess excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency with common event management software, including VenueOps/Momentus; Patron Manager or similar ticketing software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of theatrical and event union labor protocols would be welcomed.
Experience teaching, working with, and/or supervising college-age students of diverse backgrounds.
