Location: Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, India (Multiple Location)
The Role: We are seeking a full-time English-language digital content editor to join the Tokyo team at S&P Global Ratings. You will strengthen the way our articles explain rating actions and credit trends. You will edit content for the digital age through good headlines, brevity, and highlighted opinions that clearly tell a credit story. You will post-edit machine translations and have the ability to read Japanese source material (minimum Japanese ability: JLPT N2).

You will gain exposure to new approaches to presenting research that is easy to digest and hard to ignore in a crowded information marketplace. You will be trained in data visualization concepts, help to build up our social media presence, and be at the forefront of the modernization of our publishing channels.
The Team/Business: S&P Global Ratings Editorial team consists of about 100 staff around the world and is part of our Operations & Controls division. We operate in an exciting, diverse, and dynamic environment. You will work closely with other editors and translators, rating analysts, and operations specialists in Tokyo, frequently liaise with colleagues in the wider Asia-Pacific region, and participate in projects with other team members globally.
Responsibilities:
Pay strong attention to detail and processes to ensure error-free English-language articles under tight deadlines that comply with regulatory standards.
Post-edit machine translations while checking against Japanese source material.
Communicate effectively with local and overseas colleagues.
Edit and create graphics using standard graphics software tools (e.g., Excel, Visio, Plotly, and Illustrator).
Ensure articles conform to global publishing standards in terms of format, style, and branding specifications.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree holder in digital journalism, communications, economics, or a related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (native level).
Proven reading skills in Japanese (minimum JLPT N2).
Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
Sound knowledge of terminology and concepts used in financial markets.
Proven interest in developing digital, desktop publishing, and data visualization skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and Adobe Illustrator.
