This full-time position (100%) offers a unique opportunity to work with complex accounting and financial data across various departments, assessing accuracy and compliance with university and government guidelines, policies, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and verify complex accounting and financial data.
Conduct thorough research on identified issues and recommend policy or procedural improvements.
Plan and execute a wide range of internal audits, evaluating operational and business processes for effective internal controls.
Identify process risks and suggest improvements.
Apply internal audit standards and policies to investigate and evaluate operations and activities.
Conduct follow-up reviews to verify appropriate corrective actions have been taken.
Provide mentorship and training to staff auditors.

It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. We partner with management to enhance and protect organizational value by providing an independent and objective assessment of operational efficiencies and controls.
Required Qualifications
A bachelors degree in a business, accounting, or information technology field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum three years of applicable experience, with preference given to audit experience.
A certification in a related field: CPA, CIA, CMA, CISA
Advanced knowledge of audit procedures, specifically the ability to assess an organization's exposure to various risks and recommend controls to address these risks.
Sufficient knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to critically assess business policies, procedures, and practices.
Experience with data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes.
Capable of establishing and executing projects to meet required deadlines.
Proficiency in professional verbal and written communication.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in information technology, financial, construction, compliance, or operational auditing.
Advanced proficiency applying organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Experience in training new staff.
Knowledge of Workday functionality and controls.
Salary Range Minimum $65,000 to commensurate with experience.
