BASIC PURPOSE
Actively develop new and existing institutional client relationships primarily in U.S. marketplace, with an explicit focus on new client acquisition across all Institutional market channels (pension consultant, public funds, corporate, E&F, Taft Hartley, insurance, etc.). Serve as the primary relationship manager and contact for a defined set of institutional clients. Assist the Managing Director-Head of Distribution and Client Service in enhancing Atlanta Capital's Institutional business by implementing comprehensive sales, marketing and client service programs. Work closely with senior members of the Atlanta Capital and Morgan Stanley Investment Management to implement integrated marketing and sales plans, generate sales leads, and ensure continuity and process excellence in client communication and services. The role is a critical strategic position for Atlanta Capital and will further advance the firm's presence as a leading provider of high-quality investment solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Serve as a critical member of the Institutional Sales and Client Service team with primary responsibilities for supporting Atlanta Capital's U.S. Institutional business. - Working independently, maintains and enhances relationships with existing institutional clients through client meetings covering investment strategy, account performance, new products and market developments. - Conduct face-to-face, virtual and telephonic meetings with existing and prospective clients. - Serve as primary client service contact for a defined set of sophisticated institutional accounts. - Effectively use technology to source and engage with clients, prospects and field consultants. - Identify and close new institutional relationships and mandates for Atlanta Capital. - Develop long term relationships to drive ongoing business development opportunities. - Effectively build close, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders including: investment teams (including but not limited to, portfolio managers, analysts, portfolio specialists) - Attend (virtually or in-person) conferences and select industry events to drive activities that lead to prospect meetings. Under a normal operating environment, travel in excess of 50% of the time may be required. - Effectively and enthusiastically represent the investment strategies of Atlanta Capital to existing and prospective clients and field consultants. - 10 to 15 years minimum experience in a multi-product financial services firm; prior experience at an institutional asset management firm required - Bachelor's degree; MBA or CFA is strongly preferred - Knowledge of and relationships with field consultants - Quantifiable track record of success capital raising through new client acquisition - A strong investment acumen and technical proficiencya - Trusted relationships with appropriate industry contacts - Must be able to think and execute both strategically and tactically - Self-motivated, passionate, and entrepreneurial - Collegial and able to work in a team-oriented culture - Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and raise assets from new business prospects over multiple market cycles - Familiarity with Salesforce CRM. - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Extensive travel anticipated
