The idealcandidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have adesire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, non-unit position withno benefits.
This position coaches, supervises, and develops anintercollegiate varsity team, including in-season and off-season programming,in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rulesand regulations of the athletic governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, strategize, and oversee all practices and scheduled contests to provide a positive and competitive experience for student athletes;
- Develop a recruitment plan to identify and enroll student athletes that will create and sustain a successful, competitive athletic program;
- Establish team rules and protocols and implement appropriately;
- Foster the personal development and competitive spirit of the student athletes while supporting their educational experience;
- Emphasize and promote academic progress, resulting in strong academic performance, retention and graduation rates;
- Provide team supervision at all off-campus competitions. Interpret and implement the rules and regulations of the team, the department, and the college;
- Represent the college and team at all appropriate athletic events (e.g. competitions, conferences, and college-sanctioned programs such as open houses);
- Assist with game day set-up and breakdown;
- Compile game statistics and assist with entries into presto stats system;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Soccer coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or high school level.

- Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
- Experience coaching at the collegiate level;
- Recruiting experience.

Salary Range: $8,000 per season
