Description: Baylor University seeks applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professorof K-12 Educational Leadership position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Teaching in the graduate programs;
Maintaining a distinguished program of scholarship;
Participating in individual or collaborative activities to secure external funding;
Recruiting and advising students; and
Providing service to the department, university and the profession.

Qualifications: Consistent with the stated mission of the University to be a world-class institution dedicated to Christian principles and ideals, the qualifications for the position include:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Earned doctorate in educational leadership, administration, and supervision or a closely related field.
Ability to advance the Christian mission of Baylor University.
Demonstrated success of a distinguished scholarly record such as publications, peer-reviewed publications, or a program of research;
Demonstrated excellence in distinguished scholarly activity through state and national conference presentations, state, regional leadership positions in professional organizations;
Commitment to working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations;
Willingness to work collaboratively with other faculty, students, and staff;
Evidence of prominent educational leadership experience in PK-16 school systems as a teacher, principal, director, superintendent, university administrator, or a combination of experiences;
Expertise in key academic area(s) that would enhance the departments national reputation (e.g., Educational Law; Politics, Policy and Governance; Organizational Behavior and Leadership; Economics of Education and School Finance).
Strong commitment and evidence of ability to mentor graduate student dissertation research.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Evidence of excellence in teaching scholar/practitioners at the university level;
Demonstrated success in the evaluation of education problems at all levels of the education system--schools, districts, universities and colleges, state and federal agencies;
Demonstrated success in obtaining external funding; and,
Knowledge of current state and federal leadership standards.
RANK, SALARY, AND BEGINNING DATE: Assistant or Associate Professor of K-12 Educational Leadership (tenure-track). The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and professional experience. The anticipated date of appointment is August 1, 2024.
