The Team: The Solution Architecture team for DTS is responsible for reviewing, approving and delivering on new requirements as they come in from the different product groups and development teams. Our goal is to design and build infrastructure solutions that are robust and "fit for purpose" using the standard global models.
The Impact: The team has a pivotal role in the realization of significant cost savings and modernization of our infrastructure platforms to support corporate services and divisional product applications. We partner with product teams to design best-in-class platforms that ensure the stability, resilience and security of the data and processing we undertake for our clients.

Will be responsible for designing, transforming and updating technology both in data centres and in the cloud (AWS / Azure) working with our outsourcing partners and vendors

This is an "Individual Contributor" role and does not involve any line management. However, you will manage initiatives allocated to you and work with internal engineering teams and third-party suppliers if appropriate.
Responsibilities: The applicant will:
Review requirements from products and lead discussions with stakeholders and Infrastructure team heads in order to get a solution defined, scoped and costs agreed
Architect, design, document and agree "standard" global infrastructure solutions
Help and guide IT infrastructure teams to review Infrastructure offerings, and work with vendors where new solutions would benefit S&P Global
Assist Infrastructure project managers with scope, approach and sign off
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to existing infrastructure offerings
What We're Looking For: The applicant should possess or demonstrate a number of key proficiencies -
Proven experience in Infrastructure Solution Architecture
First-rate architectural knowledge of either Linux or Windows, Databases (MS-SQL or Oracle DB with RAC), Web, Messaging, storage, networking and virtualization
AWS certified Associate or Professional Architect with preferably one years of designing with AWS
Strong understanding of HA/DR technologies
Good understanding of security technologies and processes
On-going awareness of infrastructure developments in the IT industry
The applicant will also need:
Strong influencing and presentation skills
Awareness of budgeting and financial controls
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to progress multiple tasks at the same time
Excellent communication / stakeholder management skills
Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 12

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,100 to $215,600 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
