GDIT’s Military Health team is hiring a Sr Health Care Administrator in support of the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) and the Defense Intrepid Network (DIN) which is dedicated to improving the lives of patients and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) through collaborative efforts with patients, families, referring providers, and researchers.
The purpose of this position responsible for assuring the clinical integration and standardization of clinical services across the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, the headquarters for the Defense Intrepid Network (DIN). The NICoE is dedicated to improving the lives of patients and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) through collaborative efforts with patients, families, referring providers, and researchers. Support the DIN leaders in executing integration and standardization of clinical services within a value and outcomes-based practice construct. Integration support is also needed to effect broader NICoE/DIN work-stream integration into the co-located military treatment facilities throughout the DIN sites.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Knowledge of Congressional mandates, Department of Defense, Military Health System, Defense Health Agency directives, policies, standard operating procedures, clinical practice guidelines relevant to clinical care of Service members and veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
Research, analyze, and draft integration policies and plans for the NICoE to standardize clinical services across the DIN.
Draft documents establishing leading metrics to measure outcomes of clinical practice integration efforts.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with communication team to support and disseminate clinical integration plans and practices.
Support with day-to-day patient care processing (templates and appointing and scheduling) at the NICoE HQ, as needed.
Independently generates reports and briefings as requested by government leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Masters degree and RN or nursing background. (Must have)
4 + years of professional experience providing healthcare, administration and/or case management.
Must complete HIPAA training.
Excellent oral, written and analytic skills required.
Must be proficient with a multitude of Windows based, email and internet computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as MHS GENESIS, AHLTA or electronic health records.
Knowledgeable on patient appointment schedules and templates.
Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
Ability to manage multiple project tracks, respond rapidly to changing priorities, solve problems, and deal with multiple options in complex setting and situations.
Knowledge related to healthcare program/ project improvement program evaluations, process improvements, improving quality, reducing costs and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls desired.
Must adhere to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.
Required Skills and Abilities: Physical Capabilities: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to carry light items up to 25 lbs. May encounter patients who are confused, agitated, or abusive.
·Preferred Skills: Experience within similar work setting in Department of Defense preferred.

Security Clearance Level: ability to obtain a favorable Secret security clearance.
US Citizenship Required: Must be a US citizen.
