Provide programming and analysis for business units utilizing the Ellucian Colleague ERP system. A good understanding of the functional processes and technical file structures within Colleague modules, such as Student, Finance, HR, and Financial Aid. Ability to program and test in Colleague Studio and ability to utilize SQL and UniQuery languages.

Job Description Summary: Under the direction of the Administrator, perform a variety of professional and technical duties involved in designing, programming, testing and maintaining computer application systems; provide application programming supports; create technical and user documents.
Essential Duties:
Perform a variety of professional and technical duties involved in designing, programming and supports, testing and maintaining computer application systems;
Develop computer application systems from conception and design to implementation phase including program specifications such as coding and compiling test programs and assure quality of finished product;
Detect and resolve errors in data and program structure, logic and coding and develop patches, as needed;
Create and update technical specifications, test specifications, user guides/documents, custom change documents for patches and other related documents;
Provide training to College staff regarding computer systems use;
Identify needs and feasibility of departmental process automation including installing software upgrades and updates, re-applying custom code changes, performing and coordinating testing and providing instruction to users regarding system features;
Communicate with computer system vendors and other outside organizations to increase the effectiveness of programs;
Analyze and troubleshoot system and user issues and develop solutions and modify systems to increase effectiveness;
Monitor and evaluate system operations and activities;
Communicate with personnel and outside agencies to exchange information, coordinate activitiesand resolve issues or concerns; convey information received to appropriate District staff;
Prepare, provide and maintain a variety of records and reports related to data collection methods to assure user needs are met;
Lead and participate in a variety of computer systems projects as assigned;
Attend a variety of committee meetings, conferences and workshops as a representative of the department;
Maintain current knowledge in the programming field;
Demonstrate l sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of the Colleges students, faculty, staff, and community;
Effectively engage and support historically disproportionately impacted groups by addressing issues of equity and improving culturally responsive service-oriented practices;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:KNOWLEDGE OF:
Principles, practices and techniques of computer system and database analysis and design;

Principles, practices and procedures of website design and implementation including page layout, graphics, HTML, text editors, scripting, image scanning and assigned software;

Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to a bachelors degree in computer science or related field and two years of increasingly responsible programming and program analysis experience; AND Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices.
Foreign Transcripts: Transcripts issued outside the United States require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.
