About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Lending Relationship Management Consultant who will part of the Supplier Finance product team within the Structuring & Program Management (S&PM) functional arm of GRT. Supplier Finance is a high growth area of Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. Supplier Finance is a credit and payment services program provided to large, multinational clients to ensure adequate liquidity to their broad supply base by enabling Wells Fargo to provide early payments to such suppliers for invoices resulting from supplier shipments to the client. Once a client has agreed to implement such a program by signing a Payment Services Agreement, this client (the 'Buyer') will sponsor the program in conjunction with Wells Fargo and facilitate Wells Fargo's recruiting of its suppliers to individually join the program for accelerated payments, known as an Accounts Receivable purchase/discount. The Program Manager is involved in the origination, structuring, and ongoing management of these programs. The Program Manager directly manages the Buyer relationship on an ongoing basis. The Program Manager coordinates with the Supplier On-Boarding team (also a part of Supplier Finance in S&PM) to ensure client and WF goals are met.
In this role you will:
Provide support to the GRT Originations team in winning new Supplier Finance programs with clients who may be clients of Commercial Banking, Asset Based Lending or the Corporate and Investment bank, including developing presentations for client and leading client-pitch meetings. The majority of our clients are Fortune 500 companies.
Coordinate program approvals with the GRT Underwriting team.
Lead the implementation of new programs, coordinating among the different client and internal stakeholders. These include: Legal, Operations, Technology, the RM, Independent Risk Management, Senior Management (internal); and Procurement, Treasury, Technology, Accounts Payable and Senior Management (client).
Act as primary client contact for ongoing program management, develop strategy for program growth, coordinating client needs with WFCC Operations, GRT Underwriting and the Supplier Finance supplier on-boarding team.
Structure supplier finance programs for bank control/risk management requirements, while providing total customer satisfaction and facilitating the Supplier Finance team's achievement of revenue targets on each program.
Ensure adherence with bank policies (operations, accounting, legal, risk and compliance) and manage program controls/parameters.
5+ years of Business Lending Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
In-depth knowledge of supply chain finance products, commercial transaction settlement, international logistics, and trade products for end to end transaction management (purchase order to cash).
Significant knowledge of accounting, credit and risk structures.
Strong risk skills with deep experience and knowledge related to structuring, and identifying key risks for companies
Leadership skills including the ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse work team
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Exhibit an enthusiastic leadership style, driven and results oriented; comfortable working in a partnering environment
Execution oriented, self-starter and ability to proactively recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities
Asset-based lending, commercial banking, accounts receivable financing, trade finance, originations, syndications or other related experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus
25% domestic travel may be required
