The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by::

• Development and implementation of improvements related to safety, service, quality and cost (productivity)

• Actively participating in developing project assignments and completes assignments without detailed instructions

• Driving cost and productivity improvements by leading Lean Six Sigma projects with a variety of toolsets, including: DMAIC, standard work development, tier reviews and kaizens

• Development and implementation of cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of business and strategic plans new process technology integration, aggressive cost reduction, and supply chain improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools

• Engagement and involvement in daily operations to meet service targets, including direction/support of maintenance and division engineering activities

• Willingness to be on-call

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

• Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (private, public, government or military)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

• Demonstrated project leadership abilities on highly technical and complex projects

• Ability to lead and contribute across a multi-disciplinary team

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Experience in Lean Six Sigma/Quality Improvement

• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

• Microsoft Office proficient, Minitab a plus

• Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (private, public, government or military)

Travel: May include up to 10%

Location: Little Rock, AR

Relocation Assistance: Maybe Authorized
