The Role: Director, Transactions & Ownership
The Team: The Desktop organization delivers the premier research & analysis platform that empowers our Capital Markets and Corporate clients to confidently make informed, data-driven investment and business decisions. The Desktop platforms serve a curated set of broad, deep, and differentiated content with best-in-class workflow tools and robust analytical tools delivered through multiple delivery channels (web, office, mobile).
The Impact: The position plays a key role on the Desktop Platform's Product Management team and for the Market Intelligence organization as well. The Director role offers exposure to all groups and opens doors for tremendous career opportunities with S&P Global. In the role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the transactions and ownership capabilities of the S&P Global Desktop Platform. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value and working with our technical teams to enhance our capital markets capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
The Product Management team works in close collaboration with internal teams --Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Client Services, Content, and Technology--as well as with our clients to create and deliver the roadmap for transactions and ownership capabilities. Your job is to create the best possible product for our clients, including:

Serving as product or project owner on several high profile, high impact deliverables for our next generation of platform capabilities from concept through launch

Working with internal and external stakeholders to build the long-term roadmap for platform capabilities

Work with our customer segment teams and customers to understand, refine and deliver a platform that delivers relevant, timely results

Developing and executing on go-to-market strategies for product rollout/launch

Be the subject matter expert on transactions & ownership

Manage a team of 3-5 product managers/product owners

Lead the migration of users from legacy platforms/capabilities to new versions
Experience Required:
-
BA/BS in finance, business, or related fields
-
4-8 years of product management experience working with Agile/Scrum
-
Strong knowledge of global financial markets
-
Experience working with information management systems, screening tools and/or office plug-ins
-
A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment
-
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver complex solution including building platforms

Demonstrable, directly related product development work experience. Familiarity with major data, research and analytics platforms a plus.

Excellent presentation skills. Ability to take on internal and external presentation responsibilities

Management experience, ability to lead and develop a global team of product managers

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,100 to $225,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
