This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

As a Payroll Analyst you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people in Total Rewards and Services. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing the technical expertise for leveraging Workday to enhance Payroll processes and payroll automation opportunities
• Leading projects that optimize Workday Payroll delivered functionality and solutions
• Partnering very closely with HR Plant Leaders, GSCs, and other stakeholders to understand business priorities and challenges and deliver solutions that simplify and automate HR's end to end processes
• Creating custom reports to support business requests for new programs and initiatives
• Seeking, sharing, and applying external trend knowledge from Twin Cities Payroll Powerhouse group and Workday Community to further enhance Payroll processes

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher or country equivalent (completed and verified prior to start)
• Four (4) years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources, IT, Project Management, Finance, and/or Accounting in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Workday knowledge in Payroll process area
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Project management experience

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
