The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Software Support Analyst will provide outstanding client support for 3M customers who are using the 3M coding product line. Every day is different from the last, as a small close-knit team, working closely with product, development and cloud hosting teams, tackles configuration, errors and education for our clientele. Everyone's voice matters.
As a Technical Services Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Takes inbound technical customer support calls and tickets for the 3M HIS software solutions, which may involve multiple client phone conversations to fully understand and resolve issues
Identifies and resolves customer software problems, software failures, and complex problems which require independent action to correct and/or prevent
Builds credibility and trust with 3M HIS customers and departments by providing solutions to software issues, inquiries and problems
Willingness to be on-call
Supports by active participation relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M's values and ethical standards.
Leads by identifying areas of opportunity to improve communication and efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction, assisting in the escalation process for tickets which cannot be resolved internally
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
One (1) year LINUX/UNIX OS experience
One (1) year customer service experience
One (1) year programming experience (Perl, Python or equivalent) or recent college grad with co-op experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Related experience in consulting, software development, 2nd or 3rd tier technical support, technical project management, training development, phone or in-person customer service
Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
Preferred 1 year of SQL database experience
Understanding of the health care industry, and medical coding specifically
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Knowledge and experience with XML, interfaces (including HL7, XML, JSON)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
3MHIS product knowledge
Travel: May include up to10 % domestic
