In this role, you will be responsible for Procurement contracting process improvement. The strategic importance of this role is to ensure contracting process efficiency and consistency, acting as liaison and support resource for the Procurement team's contracting needs.Â You will be partnering and interfacing with Category Management teams across OneProcurement, Legal, and other Business stakeholders. Additionally, you will be delivering process governance and compliance as it relates to the contracting process and policy.
As part of the PCOE team, you will also have ownership of contract related initiatives, including but not limit to: implementing and managing the adoption of a CLM tool, developing and tracking contract performance metrics, managing contract repository, ongoing Legal-Procurement collaboration efforts, and other strategic initiative projects that support digitization and automation for major procurement activities throughout the source to pay activity chain.
You will report directly to Senior Manager, Procurement Effectiveness. Preferred location will be Chicago, IL or Rochester, NY. Full time remote opportunity is open for discussion for qualified candidates.
Team up with cross-functional stakeholders to collaborate on improvement initiatives in order to mitigate problems and delays in the contracting process and ensure consistency
Lead improvement initiatives for procurement, including but not limited to processes, procedure, workflow, technology and ways of working for contract management
Be the face of contract management for procurement. Drive governance and compliance through policy updates and process standardization
Provides training and communicates policies and information pertinent to procurement, legal or business contract users as appropriate
Be part of the implementation of Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution, lead the management & administration of the system from procurement
Assist with facilitation of simple agreements for procurement use
Build subject matter expertise to ensure the chosen CLM tool is best utilized and consistently evaluate business needs and maintain vendor relationship Â
Willingness to adapt to changing business environment, thinking creatively about how to provide the highest level of internal/external customer service
Aptitude to set priorities while managing multiple tasks, as well as proficiency for follow-up
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal skills
Strong analytic skills and problem-solving ability
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness and ability to drive process improvement where needed
Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in contract management
Legal experience as a commercial lawyer or paralegal
Six Sigma Continuous Improvement (Green Belt or higher), and/or Change Management preferred
Experience with using or implementing CLM software
Less than 10% travel
