The Role: Ratings Operations Specialist, North America Corporate Ratings
The Career Opportunity: The Operations Specialist, Ratings Operations is a critical role in enabling the effective and efficient operations of global Ratings processes and playing a key part in driving end to end process simplification that meets customer needs. As a strategic partner to multiple roles across the organization (Commercial, Data, Analytical, Compliance, Technology, etc.), the Operations Specialist uses their business knowledge and operational acumen to continuously improve operational processes and align to business value.
As a Ratings Operations Specialist, you'll develop a thorough understanding of the S&P Global Ratings business and will play an integral role in the end-to-end ratings process, helping to ensure analytical and operational excellence with a focus on our Customer.
The Impact: The role is one with global impact and coverage across the practice supported and across the broader data, technology and operations community All Ratings Operations Specialists play a critical role in delivering high quality, accurate, and timely ratings information to the market so our customers can react quickly in making informed, confident decisions. This role works closely with Commercial, Technology and Data teams to connect transformation initiatives with analytical and other end users.
The Team/The Business: You'll work with a team of Ratings Operations Specialists spread out across the globe, helping to provide operational coverage to analytical workgroups in the Ratings Department. You will collaborate daily with the global operations team and various other business units as you participate and lead on projects and problem-solving sessions.
Manage operational tasks that help facilitate the end-to-end ratings process
Develop a thorough understanding of S&P Global Ratings' policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements to ensure operational and analytical compliance with all our procedures
Monitor and support ongoing regulatory, data quality, and control initiatives
Assist in identifying & implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen our controls around policy and regulatory requirements
Lead/participate in global projects using Agile/Lean principles
1-2 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Able to work effectively in a team-oriented, global and multicultural environment
Ability to identify root causes and problem solve data and application problems
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a particular focus on customer service
Well-organized with great attention to detail
Ability to multitask and stay poised in a fast-paced, high pressure environment while also ensuring the highest quality output
Flexible, self-starter who is willing to take the initiative and drive tasks to completion
Must possess strong prioritization and influencing skills, experience in leading projects highly valued
Digital skills in AI, RPA, Data Science, Coding, etc. are preferred but not required
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $38,400 to $79,700. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
