S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join our Quantamental Research team. This position is located in Boston, New York, or Chicago and is for a Supply Chain and Operations Management Researcher within the S&P GMI's Quantamental Research Group, reporting to the Director of Research. The Quantamental research group conducts innovative, industry leading research on which derived content is created. This research is the basis for in-depth client interaction and the creation of derived content and analytics. This role has both an internal research component and an externally facing component.
The Impact: The internal research role component consists of exploring and testing data driven insights across supply chain and operations topics. The results are then thoroughly documented in long and short forms. Short-form research is distributed via S&P platforms.
The external aspect of this role involves communicating the actionable insights and solutions resulting from the research. The channels for communication are broad, including: industry events, webinars, and face to face meetings with institutional investment practitioners. A significant amount of time will be spent interacting with clients around supply chain solutions.

All members of the research team drive their own research and support other team members on their initiatives. * Developing analytical processes and tools in support of QR's supply chain publications * Building scalable systems to improve the quality and depth of existing short-form research * Constructing data driven insights and tools to advance the teams mission. * Writing and distribution of event driven and topic related supply chain research, on a weekly cadence. * Working closely with various teams to help improve the core supply chain product. * Assisting partners, clients, and colleagues in utilizing the supply chain research, data and services including data requests. * Work closely with sales as a subject matter expert, providing proof statements to clients around research. * Work with marketing around thematic research strategies

Requirements: * At least three years experience in data-led research across any field including, but not limited to, the financial, industrial supply chain or international policy spaces. * Experience in developing software tools and data pipelines utilizing modern database technologies including SQL alongside scripting languages including Python. * Ability to communicate and succinctly on data-related topics (both written and verbally) * Initiative-led collaborator able to work across disparate teams. * Able to establish credibility with clients and fellow team members around supply chain ideas. * Passion for supply chains and logistics * Organized and detail oriented. High degree of comfort with large datasets. * Deep analytical mindset and understanding of either a quantitative or fundamental investment approach * Excellent presentation skills * Intellectual curiosity and inquisitiveness * Ability to conduct independent research within a dynamic, team-based culture * Ability to explain complex supply chain and logistics concepts in simple terms * Demonstrable knowledge of statistics and economics as related to supply chain management
