Kupono Government Services has a need for a Senior Software/System Engineer to support our customer, NAWCTSD Battle Stations 21, in the leading and expansion of current and new simulation products to improve the program's ability to research, procure, replace, install, integrate, test, and deliver BST-21’s light control system.
Test application software with an approved code analysis tool and provide the results to the Government.
Verifying and validating the functionality of the delivered products, and system
Support install, configure, test, and integrate software that supports Government sustainability, reliability, and maintainability requirements.
Utilize a software engineering process and maintain software development approach and solution.
Define, document, manage, and apply software requirements analysis in accordance with (IAW) IEEE standards.
Define, document, control, maintain, and implement software architectural design, verification, implementation, construction, code, integration, qualification testing, and installation for software that operates with hardware systems.
Work with simulation software users to develop new features and improve user experiences.
Provide input for documentation of new or existing programs to ensure information accessibility, as required.
Support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), inclusive of developing and presenting Presentation Materials.
Develop, review and execute cold start and test procedures and documenting test results IAW Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements. .
Produce analytic briefings using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and present to fellow engineers, program managers and leadership, and NAWCTSD.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, across various functional areas, to include Government, vendors, subcontractor, and end user, in support of an integrated Product Team (IPT)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in software engineering for Federal and/or DoD customers is desired.
Experience with Software / Systems engineering for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training systems is required.
Experience providing technical support for products or systems such as an Overall Supervisory System (OSS), Audio/Video/Lighting System (AVLS), Special Effects System, or facility management systems is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience with SW engineering functions, including requirement analysis, configuration management (CM), QA, testing, reliability, and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis, human factors, programming, and reverse engineering is desired.
Minimum 5 years of experience with: Current and developing military equipment and systems; Software development according to IEEE-12207; and life cycle models is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
