The person hired for the position of Software Engineer will be key developer for the NLU Operations team. We're looking for passionate developers to join our engineering team. The product team is small, lean, and fast where you will be challenged daily in a high-tech, agile and fun work environment. Day-to-day work follows a scrum team approach to developing leading edge cloud based enterprise software. We are a team that is dedicated to innovate, create and appreciate the team members that work here.
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Being an active member of an agile team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, development and code reviews
Developing software components based on requirements, architecture and design specifications
Work with other software architects, software engineers, quality engineers, and other team members to design and build required systems
Coordinate and communicate with product owner, other NLU product teams and end users
Write high-quality unit tested code that will run in a continuous delivery pipeline
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) of experience in the software industry in lieu of the bachelor's degree education requirement
Java Spring Boot with Hibernate experience
Experience with rest API services using Java
Experience with a reporting tool
Experience with Jenkins/Continuous Integration
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
Knowledgeable in SOA and ROA architecture
Proficient in writing both synchronous and asynchronous restful services.
Knowledgeable in leading Amazon technologies such as Redshift, Aurora, EC2, Glacier, AWS Import/Export, S3 API
Healthcare industry experience
Travel: Occasional travel may be required
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Taylorsville, UT
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
