Opportunity of a lifetime – the chance to become the new Director of Marketing at Carrier Johnson + CULTURE. In addition to day-to-day direction and management of the Marketing Team, the new Director we seek will cultivate relationships with Carrier Johnson’s architects and interior designers, identify new opportunities in the firm’s multiple Target Markets and work in collaboration with our firm’s Marketing Specialists for Communications, Design and Delivery.
The role of the Marketing Director is all about taking Carrier Johnson to a higher level – in terms of revenue, exposure, design opportunities and increased market share. In addition to day-to-day direction and management of the Marketing Team, the Director identifies new opportunities in the firm’s Target Markets * to maximize exposure, establishing a Collateral Outreach strategy, inclusive of target market brochures, bi-monthly e-blasts, and promotional handouts. The Marketing Director cultivates relationships with Carrier Johnson’s architects and interior designers, working in collaboration with the Marketing Managers for Communications, Design and Delivery. The Marketing Director monitors all new leads, capital plans, and upcoming solicitations, recommends a Go/NoGo and assigns individual marketing team members to spearhead each new pursuit. The Director is also heavily involved in teaming on major design-build projects, cultivating relationships with contractors, consultants and engineers. The Director prepares a weekly workload report & tracts the status of pending pursuits, in addition to “running block” between developers, contractors and clients when working on major pursuits.
Prepare qualifications packages for new business opportunities
Lead the Go/No Go process for new opportunities in coordination with the Principal-in-Charge of the pertinent Market Sector
Prepare qualifications, proposals, RFP responses & PPT presentations for architecture, interior design and landscape architecture services in the firm’s target market sectors
Obtain input and direction from project team members associated with qualifications + proposals
Solicit proposal content information from sub-consultants
Ensure that all proposals, qualification packages, presentations, and marketing materials portray Carrier Johnson’s brand, producing “eye-catching” and competitive marketing collateral
Data Collection System
Coordinate with the Principal and Director of Operations to ensure population of the new Deltek marketing database system to include information related to consultants, resumes, projects, boilerplate, imagery, mailing lists, & promotional items
Ensure on-going updates of client references, resumes, and project experience lists
Develop an annual marketing budget, working with the Principal and Director of Operations
Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines
Ability to engage with design professionals
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of the A/E/C industry
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Minimum 10 years of experience leading successful marketing programs for professional services firms
Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience with an ability to mentor and motivate marketing staff
