The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is in search of a Senior Accountant Analyst to plan, organize and perform a wide variety of professional-level finance and accounting activities as well as, analyze fiscal, administrative, and operational activities for the park district. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expert financial management skills to a high-performing special district serving over 250,000 Beaverton area residents. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking accountant with a passion for operations analysis and forecasting who seeks out opportunities to improve services and works collaboratively across teams and departments to implement those ideas.
This is a limited duration position expected to last through October 2023, subject to change based on ERP implementation project timeline.
This position will work both onsite in Beaverton, Oregon and remotely, as necessary. This position is typically scheduled Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Due to the nature of this work, incumbents may have to assume a flexible schedule to attend evening meetings related to the district's or foundation's budget or accounting practices.
Components of the job include (but are not limited to):
General ledger closing entries
Prepare various financial statements and reports
Support the external audit process
Account analysis and reconciliation
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, and other special projects
