The Team: This role is part of the North America Natural Gas team, which is part of Platts Analytics. The team is small and nimble, interacting with many other groups such as oil, NGLs, LNG and power as well as other divisions of S&P Global.
The Impact: This position will require substantial analysis/research of the North America natural gas market (supply, demand, flows, and price) and communication of the results of that research via regular written reports, webinars, and client-facing interactions.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,900 to $116,100. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
Conduct analysis of North America and regional natural gas supply and demand fundamentals and price
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly written reports summarizing the results of that analysis, in addition to ad hoc reports and forecasts
Interact with clients to answer questions and present market outlooks
What we are looking for:
Minimum two years of experience in the energy industry, including consulting, trading, investment banking, equity research or equivalent professional experience
Excellent writing and presentation skills. Must effectively be able to summarize the results of analytical research in both written reports and be able to present forecasts and supporting materials to clients in regular phone calls, emails, and web/live conferences.
Innovative and strong problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
A natural curiosity about energy markets and ability to develop analysis that goes against the grain
Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, engineering, or a similar field, with experience in energy markets
Expert in Microsoft Excel. At ease using features such as pivot tables, matrix formulas and other advanced Excel functionality.
Successful candidates will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be highly self-directed and be able to work well under tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, business administration, engineering, or similar field.
Experience covering U.S. energy markets
Understanding of MS Excel and SQL
