The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The Sr. Performance Excellence Consultant provides facilitation and direction for performance improvement initiatives by supporting AC improvement teams by leading, coaching, and facilitating the project life cycle to full project implementation. This role provides subject matter expertise in technical, clinical, and operational processes and will teach, coach, and mentor CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies and support change to improve the O2C processes and Advantage Center operations.

Applies performance improvement expertise to ensure efficiency and accelerate operational effectiveness. Leads the facilitation of improvement initiatives and projects of a complex nature with minimal oversight, including assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up.
May be responsible for oversight of multiple value streams, using established improvement methods and tools.
Applies a wide range of analytical techniques, statistical methods, and/or process and quality improvement tools to drive improvements.
Fosters a systematic approach to process design, including appropriate performance measures, so processes meet key requirements.
Coaches and mentors' leaders in establishing and maintaining the strategic focus area, action plans, dashboards, and linked measurement system to execute the work.
Promotes the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and strategies to ensure a systematic approach for managing the change process. Identifies and facilitates the use of appropriate improvement tools and techniques to ensure optimal improvement results. Applies facilitation expertise in the role of coach, facilitator, or member of performance improvement teams and committees.
Shares subject matter expertise with other organizational stakeholders and trains team members in appropriate methods and tools for quality and performance improvement, as needed.
Promotes process management as a key managerial paradigm to assure the stability and capability of processes to meet and exceed the needs of patients, employees, and other key stakeholders.
Ensures the systematic development, definition, and deployment of appropriate metrics that include measures of efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, cost avoidance, and cost reduction.
Identifies and supports key value streams to promote organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Monitors trends and indicators in healthcare and order to cash industry benchmarks and recommends program changes or enhancements.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years of experience in leading and facilitating performance improvement efforts, to include significant experience in change management, process improvement, teaching and mentoring teams focused on operational improvement.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field, performance improvement discipline, or business from an accredited institution
Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or other problem-solving methodology experience and certification.
Excellent leadership, in negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution, research, and analytics.
Customer focused and results driven effectively collaborating with various levels throughout the company
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with leaders on sensitive/emotional issues
Work within ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and resolutions
Resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
Experience in performance improvement methodologies, data analytics, Microsoft Office, Minitab, and data interpretation
Experience with Encompass 360, Smartsheet, Tableau, Power BI
Travel: Not typically required.
