The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a(n) Manufacturing Technology Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading technical, cross-functional projects to develop and deploy web processing technologies to 3M global manufacturing locations

• Implementing technical solutions that support 3M manufacturing

• Leveraging 1st principles understanding to support realization of process and technology entitlement

• Contributing to Technology Advancement strategic planning within relevant technology platforms

• Willingness to have flexible hours to support global manufacturing

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

• Four (4) years of manufacturing process experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Advanced degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

• Minimum five years of experience in adhesive/tape web-based processes (Lamination, converting, web handling) in a private, public, government or military environment

• Strong understanding of 1st principles and application into manufacturing

• Understanding and experience with converting and automated assembly technologies

• Strong leadership, project management and influencing skills to work with clients and cross-functional team members in order to understand needs and help guide projects

Travel: May include up to and occasionally greater than 20% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
