VMI is accepting applications for the full-time position of Inspector General/Title IX Coordinator. Reporting to the Superintendent (President), this position is responsible for conducting investigations into issues involving student or employee misconduct; anonymously reported instances of fraud, waste or abuse; issues affecting operational efficiency or effectiveness; and investigating and responding to complaints from faculty, staff, and cadets. The position also serves as the institutionâs Title IX Coordinator, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting investigations into alleged violations, and administering a training program on discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct. The position also serves on the Instituteâs Violence Prevention, Drug and Alcohol, and Institute Planning Committees. Briefing audiences is expected. The position also serves as a liaison to the institutionâs Parentsâ Council by responding to inquiries and coordinating council meetings. This is a full-time, 12-month position with a generous benefits package. The incumbent will wear a military uniform and observe military customs and courtesies. Military experience is desired but not required. Start date will be approximately June 1st.
