Head of Data and Analytics Modeling is a new leadership position within the Card Retail and Merchant Services (CRMS) business that will be responsible for establishing an analytics organization whose mission is to deliver advanced modeling solutions for CRMS Business. This leader will be a key part of the CRMS leadership team working closely with marketing, product and decision management teams, to achieve business goals. He/She will take over the responsibility for the existing targeting model infrastructure, assess long term and short term opportunities and develop a roadmap to achieve goals.
The role will solve business problems by applying analytical insights and behavioral understanding to critical issues. This candidate must have deep technical subject matter expertise on cutting edge modeling techniques along with practical experience in successfully deploying targeting models in a credit card marketing environment. The candidate should demonstrate superior influencing and partnering skills and organizational savvy to navigate complex corporate processes. Should have proven problem solving skills that show innovation and creativity. Is results oriented with outstanding ability to motivate teams and mobilize resources to accomplish objectives. A true team player and collaborator, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally.

This individual will focus on:
Lead the creation and implementation of new models across different disciplines working with a variety of stakeholders including technology, decision management, legal, governance and third party technology partners
Help the development of a framework for targeting various credit card offers to desired customer segments helping to optimize marketing investments and long term product performance
Create long term sustainable advantage for Wells Fargo card marketing by investing in testing, tools and techniques
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in modeling infrastructure by striking the right balance between complexity and value and by shortening end-to-end model development cycle
Developing a scalable targeting analytics model that will evolve with the business
Develop and establish core team constructs, which will include the need to identify and transition existing talent, while also seeking appropriate new talent
Oversee and facilitate hiring process
Determine, develop and implement team vision, in alignment with overall CRMS team, and cultivate key team approach and partnership ethic
Focus on team member development and engagement
Lead, manage and support the day to day activities of the group
Ensure the consistency, effectiveness and efficiency of all business processes, with a focus on risk management
Address ad-hoc day to day team and project needs as they arise
10+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both
8+ years of management experience; or 3+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function
