The Division of Student Affairs at UW Tacoma empowers students to envision their most rewarding future and supports them to engage the resources of UW Tacoma and the South Sound to make their vision a reality. The Division champions holistic learning and success for students and works to remove barriers for students, engage them as partners to create an inclusive campus community and equips them for lives and careers that have meaning and impact. The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services (AVCES) provides management and operational assistance to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA) and implements a campus-wide Strategic Enrollment and Retention Management Plan. The AVCES works closely with the VCSA to provide leadership and direction to the recruiting, admissions, registration, financial aid, and veteran services teams in-line with strategic planning and enrollment goals. The AVCES will also work closely with the tri-campus community, a number of community organizations, local school districts and campus pre-college and new student programming units to ensure a seamless admissions process. The individual will have full responsibility for recruitment, admission, and enrollment cycles with emphasis on yield and growth. The individual will ensure offices operate in a manner consistent with the University’s overall enrollment management plan and divisional standards.
