Assistant Athletics Trainer The University of Akron The University of Akron, a Division I Institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is accepting applications for two Assistant Athletic Trainers; one for our Men’s & Women’s Track and Field program, and one for our Football program. These positions will provide athletic training services in the administration of health care to University athletes; plan and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes; maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments and make referrals to and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree and NATABOC Certification required; minimum of two (2) years of experience of athletic training in a Division I college setting; knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology and evaluation and rehabilitation techniques and strong communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills required.
