The Role: The Quality & Digital Editing Team ("Q&D team") is a global group of editors tasked with ensuring Platts content meets our high standards. The team drives long-term improvement and excellence, playing a central role in coaching and mentoring reporters in their journey to becoming strong content creators. The Impact: To ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to Platts News Essentials and style. The Career Opportunity: This role offers the opportunity to learn about the many commodity markets Platts covers, as well as various types of content Platts creates. You'll play a central role in ensuring Platts content meets the highest editorial standards, is free of errors and libel risk, and is structured to have maximum impact. You'll develop strong written and spoken communication skills, digital skills and will learn to work within tight deadlines. The Team / The Business: You'll sit within the Q&D team, which is part of the wider news team at Platts. You'll work with global commodity editors and content creators in a fast-paced environment. Editing can include news stories, market commentaries and thought leadership reports, among others. Your Skills: Very strong interpersonal and communication skills; Strong English language writing and editing skills; Digital media skills; Moderate to strong math skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; A degree in journalism and 3-4 years of editing experience will be highly advantageous.
