This Loan Administration Area Manager will lead Wells Fargo's VA and FHA fulfillment teams. This includes processing, underwriting, closing, and funding. In addition, this leader will focus on streamlining processes, expanding capacity while building on our team's expertise and culture of service for the VA and FHA customers. This is a critical part of the greater Home Lending organization. Our passion is to build a highly diverse team with focus on world-class service and risk management. This leader will lead the transformation of this group and grow the size of the fulfillment team while increasing focus and knowledge of VA and FHA lending. A successful leader will have managed reasonably large groups of at least 100+ and have proven success recruiting and building teams.
Actively grow the size of the fulfillment team while increasing focus and knowledge of VA and FHA lending
Lead credit and compliance risk, cost of production, business process, capacity, and relationship management
Understand unique requirements and opportunities for VA and FHA lending customers
Lead and sustain a highly diverse production team with a focus on providing world-class service to our customers and clients
Drive productivity, quality, pipeline management, team member engagement, and customer experience
Strong credit acumen and understanding of risk
Partner with Credit Risk to manage risk and create consistent application of policies while balancing external competition and the customer experience
Production leadership implementing Digital Capabilities, identifying unique needs/opportunities for VA and FHA customers
Ensure overall compliance with government regulations and company policies

10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment
7+ years of management experience
3+ years of financial services experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience leading teams supporting VA lending business; in addition to VA, FHA experience is also preferred
Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
Experience consulting, influencing, and partnering with business executives, leadership, human resources partners, and peers
A strong and effective manager and leader, capable of attracting, mentoring, retaining, and promoting talented and productive staff
Strong industry experience driving strategic change across enterprise and within a large scale organization

Experience and knowledge with Agile development processes
Excellent problem solving and analytic capabilities utilized to identify root cause improvement opportunities, as well as designing approaches/programs to address those issues
Credit risk experience

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
