Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the mortgage closing process after assignment which includes: managing the most complex pipeline to anticipate estimated closing date; act as a liaison between lenders and legal department; may be the main point of contact for internal or external customers during the closing process; regularly and consistently communicates with customers, Settlement Agent, sales partner and/or 3rd parties while providing excellent customer service; acts as an escalation point/SME for Mortgage Closers to resolve issues and provide training; may act as backup in absence of Supervisor. Team Members in this role can perform both closing and funding activities for the most complex loans.
This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.
IMPORTANT: Required location for this position is 2701 Wells Fargo Way Minneapolis MN. Candidate must reside within a reasonable commute to the address listed in the posting, but will have the option to work from home.
2+ years of processing experience and/or closing conforming and non conforming loan products
2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment demonstrated through work or military experience
Ability to interact with a diverse team
Knowledge and understanding of closing and underwriting of government loans (FHA or VA), bond loans and manufactured housing loans
Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English
Ability to make independent judgment calls based on regulatory knowledge
Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners
Mortgage industry experience
Ability to handle information professionally and confidentially
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to provide and work from a home office
