Enterprise Data Technology is seeking a Software Sr Engineer to be part of Data Control Tools (DCT) product team. DCT is an enterprise framework that enable 14+ line of business to manage their end-to-end data pipeline. A successful candidate should have extensive knowledge in building reusable data pipeline products using AbI, Python, API and Shell script. The ideal candidate should
Provide technical leadership in the development, testing, and implementation process and lead day to day activities of contractors and consultants
Partner with APP teams and product managers to understand their needs and translates to technical design and specifications
Create the overall technology development and implementation plans, and drive delivery of those plans thru the agile methodology
7+ years of software engineering experience
10+ years of application development experience
5+ years of Ab Initio experience
2+ years of Big Data experience
3+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
3+ years of data management experience
3+ years of Agile experience
Cloud computing experience
Other Desired Qualifications
Prior Experience in building AbI framework for Hadoop and deploying AbI in cloud is preferred
Knowledge and Experience with Ab Initio products like Ab Initio EMH(Enterprise metadata Hub), DQE(Data quality environment)
Experience with continues flows and messaging queues preferable.
Hands on experience in implementing Ab Initio based solution on Big data environment
Able to support parallel Ab Initio multiple branch environments
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work outside of regular business hours
