Faculty Associate – Research Position

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is accepting applications for the position of Faculty Associate – Research in the Defense Analysis Department (DA). NPS provides graduate education to military officers of the uniformed services, Department of Defense civilians, and members of the international defense community. The DA Department is currently building a team to assess, monitor, and evaluate professional military educational programs for international partners across the DoD enterprise. We are looking for a Faculty Associate to join our team in Monterey, California. The position is based on a one-year contract with one-year extensions contingent upon funding. This position will be part of the team conducting analyses that inform course instructors, program managers, policy makers, and country or theater campaign planners on the extent to which education of foreign students is in alignment with intended objectives and the extent to which it is garnering anticipated levels and types of change. The faculty member will ensure that the team’s research meets academic standards of rigor and quality and are readily digestible to diverse stakeholders of varying familiarity with the program, rank, and interest.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience while tied to the federal government compensation policies for the position and location.
