Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. The Custody Operations Specialist 2 is responsible for, but not limited it, the following:
Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution
Works in a diverse, collaborative, team environment meeting established deadlines and assists in achieving goals to meet department objectives and service level agreements
Tasks require coordination of information among various operational areas and/or Relationship Management teams
Uses multiple online systems
Requires working knowledge and the skills to be able to handle confidential customer information including but not limited to residential and commercial mortgage files and trailing documents, and asset backed security files and documents; contacting appropriate parties as needed; verifying accuracy; resolving complex customer issues using multiple resources and records; preparing, organizing, and distributing complex work
Exercises some judgment within Wells Fargo, client, and government agency guidelines to resolve issues affecting the workflow
Considered a subject matter expert and knowledgeable on teams processes relating to the Custody operations or functions. Acts as escalation contact for less senior team members for complex issues and processes
May provide training and quality control as needed
Works under general supervision following established procedures
Hours for position is Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
18+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: operations, customer interaction, production or general office environment demonstrated through work or military experience
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational data
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
Knowledge and understanding of emBTRUST
Knowledge and understanding of document custody
Knowledge and understanding of document management: loan documents flowing through the imaging process
Ability to lift 25+ pounds
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
