Wells Fargo Capital Markets Data Services technology team is seeking a hands-on Applications Systems Engineer to work on Enterprise Market Risk Technology (EMRT) data initiatives partnering with Enterprise Credit Risk Technology Team . Most of the data initiatives drive Wells Fargo Market Risk systems to perform valuations, simulations, aggregations and drive reporting of risk sensitivities and stresses on all the major assets classes: equities, bonds, commodities, currencies and their derivatives including structured products, and credit derivatives etc. Market risk activities include market risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, issuer risk, country risk and liquidity risk. The Market Risk systems perform valuation, simulation, aggregation and reporting of risk metrics and models on all simple (bonds) and complex (structured products, derivatives) securities products.The Market Risk systems are comprised of intra-day and overnight batch processes that handle staging for all trading position data and market data required for risk modeling as well as making this data available to the various risk valuation systems, Quantitative models and reporting support trading activities as well as regulatory and business reporting requirements.
It is essential that the senior ETL developer has solid understanding of Market Risk domain including pricing/valuation and VAR calculations. Additionally, a good understanding of data used for Market & Counterparty Risk CCAR reporting, Capital calculations and SACCR calculations is critical to the success in this role. The developer should also have a good knowledge of Capital Markets along with deep knowledge of Advanced C#, design patterns, Core Java development, SSIS or Talend based ETL development, database modeling and database development using SQL Server 2012/2016, Mongo database, Test-Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development practices and deployment skills using Team Foundation Server, concurrent to skills in technical analysis and documentation, application monitoring and application testing. Additionally, technical expertise in Big Data/Hadoop, XML, Team Foundation Server(TFS), GIT, Tortoise SVN, Anthill Pro, Udeploy and Jenkins is needed in order to meet the requirements for this position. It is also necessary to effectively communicate ideas and implementation details across technology teams including business users, technology partners, product owners and other designers, application architects and business functional leadership.
The senior ETL developer will be performing the following duties:
Design and implement highly distributed, scalable processes -Staging, Data Enrichments using SSIS/Talend, SQL, Strong data enrichment & delivery techniques using C#/Java, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, TFS, Autosys and UNIX.
The resource will be in charge of leading 3-5 team of database leads/senior application/database developers in the execution of multiple work streams.
For new development, the resource will be expected to work with business partners and analysts in order to understand the data requirements and to analyze and design the necessary data flow and database design.
Assures quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications.
The resource should be strong in performance tuning and designing high data volume for high performance throughput on a daily basis. The successful candidate will need to have advanced information delivery and development skills in order to create effective data solutions that can be easily maintained and extended to meet the growing demands of Market and Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM)
This position also requires that the developer has experience supporting front end portal data needs and reporting tools like Tableau. This experience is needed to manage the large amount of position data and market data feeding into the system, as well as the risk results and reporting data stored in a database. This requires skills in schema design, and in stored procedure and view creation.
